The multi-award-winning Latin-American music diva will perform in Paris on behalf of Pepsi, as Liverpool and Real Madrid prepare for the historic climax.
Camila Cabello, a Cuban-born American singer, will perform in Paris’ Stade de France before the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid on May 28, 2022.
The 25-year-old singer is one of the most popular Latin-American artists of her generation.
Cabello was born in Havana, Cuba, and migrated to Miami, Florida, when she was six years old. She has been an American citizen since 2008.
She was once a part of the girl group Fifth Harmony until going solo in 2016.
She has released three albums after leaving Fifth Harmony: Camila in 2018, Romance in 2019, and Familia in 2022.
Her first two albums featured two chart-topping songs (“Havana” and “Seorita,” both starring her ex-boyfriend and fellow pop artist Shawn Mendes).
Cabello has three Grammy Award nominations and approximately 100 honors in her singing career.
She has two Billboard Music Awards: one for Chart Achievement in 2018 and one for Top Collaboration in 2020 for her song “Seorita,” which she co-wrote with Canadian artist Shawn Mendes.
She also won two Latin Grammys in 2019, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Song for her duet with Alejandro Sanz on the song “Mi Persona Favorita.”
Cabello’s performance on Saturday, hosted by Pepsi, follows in the footsteps of other musical artists such as Dua Lipa, Black Eyed Peas, and Marshmello in performing at Europe’s premier club football competition.
