He spoke on Monday.

Pinnick was elected in 2014 and has already served two terms. His term will expire next month, in September 2022.

Rumors have circulated that Pinnick, a member of FIFA’s executive council committee, would like to continue in office.
However, in an interview on Monday, August 15, Pinnick emphasized that he will only be able to intervene, not interfere, in the process of electing a new President.

“There are so many Nigerians who are capable of going” (NFF boss). “I will cooperate and work with whoever wins the elections and becomes president,” Pinnick stated.

”That I promise. I will intervene but will not interfere.”
